EnergyPro, in partnership with Polska Fundacja dla Afryki, has trained and empowered small business owners and residents in Ibadan on solar-panel installation, electrical safety, and the construction of portable power banks—skills expected to help micro-entrepreneurs build income and reduce dependence on unstable grid supply.
Speaking at the launch of the company’s Ibadan office, Co-founder Akinmolayan Peter said the initiative is part of EnergyPro’s mandate to expand renewable-energy adoption and create job opportunities. He noted that empowering people with practical solar skills is a direct way to support livelihoods and improve business survival in a country struggling with unreliable electricity.
Peter urged Nigerians—especially business operators—to embrace solar technology as a pathway to sustainable growth, warning that the economy would remain stagnant without consistent power supply.

Former Oyo State commissioner, Prof. Raphael Afonja, also stressed that no country can achieve meaningful development without stable electricity. He advised the beneficiaries to remain competitive and convert their new技能 into viable commercial services.
Community leader Prince Abiodun Adeyemi praised the initiative, saying reliable power is central to economic growth and small-enterprise productivity.
Several beneficiaries expressed optimism, noting that the training would help them run businesses more efficiently, as frequent power outages remain a major constraint for Nigerian entrepreneurs.
