The Federal Government of Nigeria, along with Wema Bank, the leading indigenous bank in Nigeria and the pioneer of Africa’s fully digital bank ALAT, have announced the call for entry in the FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme for Youth and MSMEs.
This initiative is considered a significant step toward closing the gap in providing small businesses with much-needed funding and skills for developing their digital capacities.
The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme was launched on September 29th, 2023, and is open to Nigerians who are interested in improving their business portfolios and augmenting their digital skills both within and outside of Nigeria. The program aims to train 1,000,000 MSMEs and 2,000,000 Nigerian youth.

This game-changing program provides a wide range of digital abilities, giving learners the tools they need to succeed in a quickly changing technological environment. The program will address a wide range of digital competence, from cloud computing, business analysis, and product design to software engineering and product management.
Wema Bank’s Executive Director of Retail & Digital Business, Tunde Mabawonku, announced the call for entries and described the FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme as a game-changing chance for professionals, job seekers, and budding entrepreneurs throughout Nigeria. The initiative would create a digital skills marketplace for young entrepreneurs, providing them with opportunities for long-term career advancement and introducing small-business owners to grants and funding.
