The Federal Government has intensified efforts to place science, technology and innovation at the core of Nigeria’s economic transformation, with a renewed push to attract private-sector backing for industrial growth and SME expansion.
At a strategic meeting in Abuja, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, hosted prominent industrialist and global business figure, Prince Arthur Eze, in what officials described as part of ongoing engagements to mobilise investment, policy support and market linkages for the national innovation ecosystem.
Dr. Udeh said collaboration with experienced business and political leaders was essential to shaping practical policies, driving technology adoption and scaling up programmes that empower young innovators and small businesses. He noted that the Ministry was ready to work closely with Chief Technology Officers across industries to deepen interlinkages that support research, enterprise development and commercialisation.

Prince Eze, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, praised the Minister’s reform-driven agenda, describing his leadership as aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope economic blueprint. He reaffirmed his commitment to economic empowerment and pledged continued support for initiatives that promote technological advancement, youth inclusion and national Industrial growth.
According to the Ministry, the ongoing stakeholder interface will be sustained to attract visionary investors whose influence and capital can help convert local research output into products, jobs and revenue opportunities, particularly for SMEs.
Discussions at the meeting focused on leveraging indigenous capacity, emerging technologies and innovation-driven enterprises to fast-track industrialisation, expand employment and strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global knowledge economy.
