The National Universities Commission (NUC) and Eyecity Africa have jointly hosted a Stakeholder Roundtable for Action themed “Rethinking Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Higher Education.” The event brought together key players from academia, industry, and the innovation ecosystem to discuss reforms that can strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of Nigerian graduates.
In opening remarks delivered on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu, the Director of Research Innovation and Information Technology, Mallam L.M. Faruk, stressed the need for active participation in reviewing the current state of entrepreneurship and innovation training across universities.

The initiative aims to empower graduates with tools for self-sufficiency while strengthening Nigeria’s wider entrepreneurial ecosystem. It also underscores the NUC’s commitment to driving policies and partnerships that support innovation-led growth.
