In a fresh push to uplift grassroots entrepreneurship, Dangote Cement Plc has disbursed ₦100,000 cash grants to women in its host communities in Gboko, Benue State. The initiative is aimed at strengthening small businesses, especially in rural areas.
Wakeel Olayiwola, Group Head of Social Performance, said the grant is non-refundable and tailored to help female entrepreneurs scale operations, upgrade equipment, and increase income. “This support will enhance their ability to invest in family welfare and break the cycle of poverty,” he noted.
Beneficiaries were selected in collaboration with traditional leaders and the Dangote Community Consultative Committee. The company plans to monitor the women’s progress and ensure the funds create visible economic impact.
