Nigeria, Denmark partner to boost digital growth for MSMEs

Nigeria and Denmark have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in digital innovation and economic development. The agreement marks a new phase of collaboration focused on technology adoption and opportunities for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.

Under the partnership both countries will expand broadband access support artificial intelligence initiatives and promote digital connectivity. The collaboration also includes programmes to help Nigerian tech talents work with Danish companies both remotely and onsite.

Beyond the MoU Denmark has committed an additional €12 million through the European Union to support Nigeria’s 3MTT programme. The funding will help train and equip more young Nigerians with digital skills relevant to the global market.

The initiative underscores Nigeria’s determination to attract global partners and localise international best practices that will empower entrepreneurs and strengthen the nation’s digital economy.
