The World Bank has announced plans to establish a Livestock Service Centre in Ekiti State, as part of efforts to enhance productivity and commercialize the livestock sector in Nigeria.
This initiative was disclosed by Abubakar Sanusi, the National Project Coordinator of the World Bank’s Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), during a press briefing in Ado-Ekiti on Friday.

Sanusi, who was on an assessment visit to the state, praised Governor Oyebanji and the Ekiti L-PRES team for their dedication and readiness to host the centre.
He highlighted that the proposed facility would significantly improve livestock health, productivity, and profitability for farmers in the region.
