The Zoomers, often known as members of Generation Z, are reaching adulthood. The generation’s leading edge is starting their careers and is prepared to spend money. However, you must first understand what Gen Z cares about and how they shop before you can market to them. Here’s how to market to Generation Z by understanding their motivations;

Brand recognition.
Due to the fact that Gen Z and other consumers often monitor corporate brands on social media, they are more conscious of their activities and opinions. Small businesses in particular will benefit from being able to put their business online across various social media platforms, which increases their relatability. However, social media can also reveal views and conduct that Zoomers disagree with, which can swiftly drive them away from your business and cause them to look for one that more closely reflects their values.

Recognize their sources of confidence.
As their “platform of choice to discover new products, especially in the area of clothing and beauty,” TikTok is incredibly well-liked among Gen Z users. Compared to other social media platforms, TikTok offers consumers more recent matter and exposes them to a variety of new or viral products. However, Zoomers claim that recommendations from friends and family have the most influence on them while making purchases, like the majority of shoppers of all ages.

Affordability of sustainability.
For many years, Gen Z has been referred to as “one of the most sustainability-minded generations.” But the majority of Zoomers are still in their teens or their early 20s. They also have a budget and are “choosy” about how they use their money, despite their concern for the environment. Retailers should keep this in mind when determining product prices; at the very least, small businesses can conduct offers to appeal to Generation Z.

Zoomers are less loyal.
Since Gen Zees are “overly-conscious about how much they consume,” they’re less loyal than older generations. A Zoomer would choose loyalty programs that focus on sustainability or offer discounts over loyalty programs that try to make you buy more.

The era of “buy now, pay later” is here.
Zoomers support “Buy now pay later” in part because they purchase more luxury goods, which inevitably cost more money. Gen Z spends more than millennials do on luxury goods. This kind of service will be preferred by Zoomers, but small businesses should have some rules in place while managing the BNPL.

All small business owners should be aware of current trends and how to effectively market their brands to their target market in order to attract and keep clients.
