The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has partnered with the Anambra State Ministry of Youth Development to launch a transformative initiative aimed at empowering thousands of young entrepreneurs in the region.
Spearheaded by Mrs. Joycee Oburu, the UNDP Team Lead, the project seeks to equip Anambra’s youth with the necessary tools and resources to excel in the competitive landscape of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Through a generous grant totaling ₦100,000 to 10,000 SMEs, coupled with mentorship and coaching, participants will be primed for success not only locally but also on the global stage.
The collaboration between UNDP and the Ministry of Youth Development comes at a crucial juncture, with youth engagement in SMEs reaching significant proportions. Mrs. Oburu underscored the importance of this partnership, emphasizing the need for collective support to ensure the project’s efficacy and sustainability.
This initiative aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision for Anambra State, which prioritizes youth empowerment and economic growth through innovative policies and strategic investments.
