The Tinubu Stakeholders Forum (TSF) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for releasing N60 billion to Gombe State to establish a 184-hectare Agro-Livestock Industrial Zone.

The initiative, part of a larger N120 billion commitment by the Federal Government, was launched during a groundbreaking ceremony led by Governor Inuwa Yahaya.

In a statement signed by TSF Chairman Ahmad Sajoh and Secretary Danjuma Sada, the group described the investment as a strategic move to transform Nigeria’s livestock sector, boost rural industrialisation, and expand non-oil revenues.

The project will feature an ultramodern abattoir, international livestock market, fattening hubs, tannery and leather factory, grain and feed market, and an inland dry port to link local products to global markets. Once operational, it is expected to process 500 bulls, 1,000 small ruminants, and 3,000 poultry birds daily.

TSF also applauded the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development, describing it as a bold step in unlocking the sector’s full economic potential.

“This investment is more than infrastructure—it’s a blueprint for inclusive growth,” the Forum stated, urging small businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore the emerging opportunities across the livestock value chain.
