President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured French investors that Nigeria is open for business, emphasizing his administration’s focus on creating a secure and enabling environment for foreign investments.
During a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace on Thursday, Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s improving security landscape, its vibrant youth population, and ongoing economic diversification efforts as key attractions for investors.

“We assure you of a free market economy; easy in, easy out; no hindrance,” Tinubu said, encouraging French businesses to explore opportunities in Nigeria’s developing sectors, including the marine and blue economy.
He acknowledged Nigeria’s challenges but expressed readiness to collaborate with France on bolstering security and economic growth. Macron affirmed France’s commitment to investing in Nigeria, describing it as a vital partner.
Tinubu’s visit marks the first official state visit by a Nigerian leader to France in over 20 years.
