President Bola Tinubu has pledged to create an atmosphere that will support the growth of businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises.
At the 37th edition of the Lagos International Trade Fair, which opened yesterday, November 3, 2023, and runs through November 12, 2023, with the theme “Connecting Businesses, Creating Value,” he made this statement.
“Our small and medium sized enterprises are the lifeblood of our economy,” stated Lucia Shittu, CEO of Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB), speaking on behalf of the President. These are the pictures that encourage development and creativity. It is our responsibility to give children the resources and assistance they require in order for them to thrive.
“We will empower these enterprises to reach new heights of success with good policies, access to finance, and capacity building initiatives,” Tinubu declared.

The Presidential loan program is one of these efforts, which aims to give small and medium-sized businesses access to working money. We must adapt to the changing world; innovation is by no means a luxury or a need. We have to adopt new technologies and change with the needs of our changing customer base.
The 37th Lagos International Trade Fair will give businesses a huge 10-day window to showcase their goods and services, get excellent marketing mileage, and create new opportunities for networking with other businesses, according to Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
