Esther Wehere, a native of Rivers State, has received a fully outfitted fashion and tailoring boutique from INTELS Nigeria Limited.

Wehere won the Women Empowerment Project Scheme Synergy award for the 2022 Batch ‘B’ graduating class, according to a statement from the company.

The event’s keynote speaker, Mr. Pasquale Fiore, the Managing Director of INTELS Nigeria Limited, said the company’s donation to Wehere was in keeping with its commitment to supporting women both within and outside of the host communities.

He contends that when women are given greater economic autonomy, both their families and the broader society gain.

According to Fiore, as part of its acclaimed WEPSS and as part of its corporate social responsibility, INTELS has taught around 1,800 women in fashion design and tailoring over the past ten years.

The head of INTELS stated that Nigeria’s fashion business plays a key cultural role and greatly boosts the nation’s economy.

Wehere thanked INTELS in her response for providing her with training and donating the fully functional facility to her.

Wehere stated, “I have established a fashion design firm and developed a clothing line since completing my training at the INTELS’ WEPSS center.”
