The Tanzania High Commission in Nigeria has reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to bolstering trade and bilateral relations with Nigeria and West African nations, following the country’s participation in the recently concluded Lagos International Trade Fair. Acting High Commissioner Judica Nagunwa, represented by Economic Affairs Officer Edna Sylvester, emphasized that Tanzania’s presence at the fair aligns with its broader economic diplomacy goals
“As part of our economic diplomacy efforts, we participate in international trade fairs to showcase Tanzanian products, including coffee, tea, spices, wine, leather goods, and more,” Nagunwa stated. She added that the High Commission aims to engage Nigerian importers interested in sourcing these products, in line with the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) to boost intra-African trade.
