By collaborating with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, a reputable financial institution and a division of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, has reaffirmed its commitment to enabling Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).

The bank said this in a statement and stated that the goal of the strategic relationship is to teach 3000 SMEs throughout different states of Nigeria.

This partnership demonstrates Stanbic IBTC’s unrelenting dedication to fostering the expansion and improvement of the SME sector in Nigeria. The Enterprise Academy training program, which was launched in 2021 and has already empowered more than 5000 SMEs, is at the center of the project,” according to the statement.

He said, “SMEs are the foundation of our economy, and we recognize the crucial role they play in fostering economic expansion and generating job opportunities. Through our collaboration with SMEDAN, we hope to arm SMEs with the information and resources they need to prosper in the cutthroat business environment of the present.

The Director-General of SMEDAN, Dr. Olawale Tunde Fasanya, expressed his pleasure for the recently formed cooperation and acknowledged the value of having a reliable financing partner for company expansion. He praised the partnership with Stanbic IBTC Bank and emphasized how it will empower, outfit, and speed up the growth of SMEs, multiplying their economic impact.
