SMEDAN Is Planning To Reward Waste Recycling Business Owners
SMEDAN intended as a reward for business owners that excel at recycling garbage – Goal 13 of the Sustainable Development Goals on Climate Action calls for the Agency to provide 20 entrepreneurs with cash awards of varying amounts to be used as capital for their enterprises.
The SMEDAN Talent Hunt is an event that focuses on waste to wealth this year. More than 1,000 proposals from creative and indigenous MSMEs that recycle waste materials into useful products have been submitted.

After these submissions are further vetted, the chosen contenders are invited to present their pitch decks to the judges, during which they will also showcase other products and procedures for review. Every participant will receive training on business management techniques and intellectual property protection.
