In a strategic effort to boost female entrepreneurship, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) to empower 10,000 women entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
The MOU, which was signed during the MSME Conference in 2024, is aimed at providing vital training and support for women in the creative, agriculture, and technology sectors.
This initiative is spearheaded by SMEDAN’s Director-General, Charles Odii, who highlighted the agency’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The announcement was made on SMEDAN’s official social media handle, X, emphasizing the agency’s dedication to promoting nationwide female empowerment through skill acquisition and entrepreneurial guidance.
