The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has spotlighted the role of intellectual property in startup success, following the Demo Day of IP Labs 2.0, where 12 exceptional startups out of a 300-member cohort showcased their innovative solutions.
In a post shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @SMEDANGov, the agency celebrated the entrepreneurs who underwent practical training in intellectual property rights.

The programme, organized by the WIPO Nigeria Office under the leadership of Mr. Oluwatobiloba Moody, equipped participants with critical IP knowledge and supported them with filings for patents, trademarks, and other protective mechanisms.
