Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead a crucial workshop aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s role in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Digital Trade Protocol.
The event, organized by the Office of the Vice President, will begin at 10 a.m. at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The workshop, themed “Digital Trade in Nigeria: The Renewed Hope Strategy,” will gather stakeholders from government agencies and the private sector to develop comprehensive strategies for digital trade.
This initiative aligns with the federal government’s goal to leverage digital trade for economic growth and regional integration.

Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, highlighted this in a statement. Additionally, Dr. Salihu Dasuki, Special Assistant to the President on ICT Policy, emphasized the event’s importance, stating,
“The workshop signifies a shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s trade landscape through digital technology and regional integration under the AfCFTA.”
