The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, in partnership with Senator Peter Ndalikali Jiya of Niger South, has trained 120 market women and youths in financial literacy and inclusion.
At the event, Senator Jiya, represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu, emphasized the importance of grassroots training for economic growth. He assured participants of seed investments and a monitoring system to ensure effective utilization of the knowledge gained.

The facilitators introduced participants to the benefits, barriers, and components of financial inclusion. Chartered accountant Nuhu Nmadu Kolo highlighted the importance of accessing financial services to support business growth, while Mr. Usman Yelwa Shaba identified barriers such as limited rural access and financial unawareness.
This initiative aims to equip rural business operators with the tools to enhance their economic prospects and promote sustainable development.
