Senator Idiat Adebule, representing Lagos West Senatorial District, has provided vocational training and starter packs to 1,000 youths and women in her constituency to promote self-employment and economic growth.
The empowerment program, carried out in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research (NIFFR), equipped participants with skills in areas such as fashion, confectionery, leatherworks, hairdressing, and barbing.
During the distribution event, Adebule described the initiative as part of her promise to constituents during an engagement session held earlier in the year. She emphasized its alignment with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to entrepreneurship and the federal government’s renewed hope agenda.
