In a collaborative effort between the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the Kano State Government, 1,000 farmers in Kano have received agricultural inputs as part of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) programme.

This initiative, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, aims to boost Nigeria’s appeal as an investment hub, particularly in the agriculture sector.

The distribution, targeting rice and tomato production in Bagwai and Kura local government areas, supports 500 farmers for each crop. During the flag-off ceremony, Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud, Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, emphasized the programme’s goal to enhance agricultural productivity.
