In Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, a severe escalation occurred as the #EndToBadGovernanceInNigeria protest entered its fifth day. Thousands of predominantly young demonstrators filled the streets, blocking major highways and bringing the movement of goods and services to a halt.
The situation worsened when the protesters moved into town, resulting in widespread vandalism. The Tudun-Wada Market faced significant damage, with essential goods such as rice, cement, vegetables, and palm oil being looted.

The destruction amounted to billions of naira, and the violence claimed at least one life when a protester was struck by gunfire from security personnel.
The unrest also led to the damage of several buildings, including the state headquarters of the All Progressives Congress. Efforts to reach ASP Yazid Abubakar, the state police spokesperson, for a statement were unsuccessful as his phone lines were unavailable. The city remains on edge as the authorities struggle to manage the escalating violence and destruction.
