Borno State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state following a fatal explosion in Kawori Market, Konduga. The blast, suspected to be a Boko Haram suicide attack, claimed 16 lives and left several others critically injured.
The curfew comes in the wake of August 1st protest against bad governance and hardship in the country. The demonstration, combined with the recent violence, prompted Governor Babagana Zulum to consult with top security officials before implementing the measure.
