The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Michael Nwabufo, the agency’s ambassador, is urging point-of-sale (POS) agents and small businesses to act swiftly, With just five days left for mandatory business registration. Nwabufo, a talent and brand manager, emphasized the necessity of avoiding complications by ensuring timely compliance.
Highlighting the convenience of the CAC Special Registration Portal (SRP) and the PCCSIGN platform, Nwabufo praised the initiative for its accessibility and efficiency. “This streamlined process not only grants legal recognition but also boosts credibility and growth opportunities for businesses,” he said. He further mentioned that the SRP offers a user-friendly interface and faster approval times.

The CAC has also collaborated with the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making, and Influencers Guild platform to simplify registration. Nwabufo highlighted the PCCSIGN platform’s tailored registration services for the community.
He reminded business owners that the registration deadline for POS agents and other small businesses is July 7. In May, CAC Registrar-General Hussaini Magaji directed major fintech companies’ POS agents, including OPay, Palmpay, and Moniepoint, to complete their registrations by this date. The CAC is processing approximately 15,000 applications daily to meet the demand for its fintech regularization program.
