Fifty-five women have completed a two-and-a-half-week tailoring course funded by the office of the governor’s wife in collaboration with Vodal Information Management Limited.
The closing ceremony, held at the House of Chiefs, State Secretariat in Ibadan, saw Mrs. Makinde urging the participants to build on their newly acquired skills and strive for excellence in their sewing ventures.
Mrs. Makinde encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize their startup capital effectively and stay resilient in their pursuit of financial independence.
She acknowledged the brevity of the training but emphasized the importance of continued learning and practice.
Mr. Deji Akinniranye, Managing Director of Vodal Information Management Limited, advised the graduates to keep their skills current and stay competitive in the tailoring industry.

State Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, highlighted that the initiative aimed to combat poverty and inequality.
She urged the women to value and nurture the skills and resources provided, viewing them as investments for their future.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including state Commissioners and lawmakers, who supported the initiative’s goals of reducing social issues and promoting entrepreneurship.
