This announcement was made by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Bolu Owotomo, during a workshop for the registration of farmers and value chain actors, held at the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP) training hall.
The workshop aimed to train 86 enumerators and supervisors to collect and manage farmer data, thereby enhancing the state’s agricultural database.
Owotomo highlighted the crucial role of accurate farmer registration in governmental decision-making processes. He noted that this initiative would offer farmers opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge in best agricultural practices, ultimately strengthening the state’s agricultural sector.
