The Ogun State Government commenced the second phase of its N1 billion OG-Cares grant for micro and small enterprises. The event was held at the Obas’ Complex in Abeokuta.
In 2023, the first phase saw 1,000 micro-entrepreneurs receiving N100,000 each and small-scale entrepreneurs receiving N350,000 each. The current phase aims to benefit 2,822 entrepreneurs.
Represented by his deputy, Governor Dapo Abiodun emphasized the initiative’s alignment with the “Building Our Future Together” Agenda, supporting the growth of MSMEs amid global economic challenges.

Beneficiaries were selected through a strategic and inclusive process involving local government chairmen, market associations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring genuine entrepreneurs received support.
Governor Abiodun assured that the disbursement would continue beyond June 2024 and urged recipients to use the funds responsibly to drive economic growth. The scheme aims to transform beneficiaries into employers and support the state’s economic development.
