Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has highlighted the financial creativity and transparency of his administration, placing the state as Nigeria’s second-highest in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) after Lagos. He affirmed Ogun’s position as one of the three most viable states in Nigeria.
Speaking during the budget presentation at the Ogun State House of Assembly, the governor emphasized his commitment to completing all ongoing developmental projects without imposing additional tax burdens on residents.
Abiodun attributed the state’s economic growth to a focus on projects with revenue potential, employment generation, and alignment with the State Economic Development Plan and Strategy (2021-2025).
His administration’s ISEYA mantra—Infrastructure, Social Welfare and Well-being, Education, Youth Empowerment, and Agriculture—has driven infrastructural progress and sectoral growth within six years.
