Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has credited his administration with a silent economic revolution that has reshaped critical sectors of the state’s economy over the last five years.
Speaking during an event hosted by Nigerian News Direct Newspaper at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, Abiodun emphasized key milestones of his tenure:
Construction of over 600 kilometers of roads across Ogun State.
Development of a world-class agro-cargo airport.
Boosted Internally Generated Revenue, making Ogun the most viable state in Nigeria for IGR.
Enhanced ease of doing business, positioning Ogun as Nigeria’s top investor destination.

The Governor revealed that Ogun accommodates over 6,000 manufacturing firms within its industrial clusters, strengthening both the state’s microeconomy and Nigeria’s macroeconomic growth.
Despite inheriting significant infrastructural deficits in border communities and federal highways, he stated that his administration has made strides in bridging these gaps to improve residents’ lives.
Abiodun thanked Nigerian News Direct for recognizing his efforts and reaffirmed his commitment to impactful leadership.
