Ogun State government has kicked off a campaign to checkmate exorbitant prices in markets across the state.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, led a team on market visits to sensitize traders about the need for fair pricing.
The government is concerned about the impact of economic hardship on residents and insists that traders should not exploit consumers through inflated prices.

Adeleye stressed the administration’s commitment to the welfare of citizens, emphasizing various empowerment programs like Oko’Owo Dapo to support businesses. The government aims to create a fair market environment benefiting both traders and consumers.
The Iyaloja of Egba Market, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Oloyede, commended government efforts and pledged the cooperation of market women in ensuring fair pricing.
