Ogun State has strengthened its drive for industrial expansion through a strategic meeting with Chinese energy partners, Cteec, based in Jiangsu, China.
The discussions focused on funding, technical capacity, and swift execution of key power projects across the state. The collaboration will cover three major areas improving power transmission and distribution, establishing an Industrial Park to attract Chinese manufacturers, and installing a free 3MW power plant at the Gateway International Cargo Airport to power activities at the site.

The Chinese firm, which already has a 100MW investment footprint in Nigeria, plans to expand into power generation, distribution, and the development of a dedicated state transmission network.
Ogun State officials are also set to take the delegation on-site visits to ongoing projects by Sahara and Powergen as part of efforts to ensure a stable energy supply.
Governor Dapo Abiodun shared this update on his official X handle, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to building a strong energy foundation for industrial growth and sustainable economic development.
