The Oyo State government has announced plans to host the ODU’A International Trade Fair in Ibadan, a collaborative effort involving Osun, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti States. The event aims to promote entrepreneurship and regional economic growth.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting at the Trade Fair Complex, EXPOYO, the Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment, and Cooperatives, Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi, shared that the state will also launch a Farmers Market to provide a direct platform for farmers to sell their produce at competitive prices. This initiative, he noted, will enhance the economic empowerment of local farmers while promoting agricultural development in the region.

Hon. Adebisi commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to revitalizing trade activities in the state, highlighting the recent success of the Oyo State International Trade Fair.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Kola Akosile, revealed that the trade fair, themed “Harnessing Food Security Systems and Natural Resources for Sustainable Development and Wealth Creation,” will take place from October 18 to 29, 2024, at the Expoyo Trade Fair Ground, Sango, Ibadan.
The 10-day event will feature over 100 exhibitors, showcasing agricultural products, manufactured goods, and technological innovations. Visitors can look forward to exhibitions, networking opportunities, and even ten days of free Amala, underscoring the fair’s unique local flavor.
