NYCN Europe elevates leadership to amplify voices of Nigerian youth in the diaspora

In a significant move to elevate the voices and opportunities of Nigerian youth in the diaspora, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Europe chapter has appointed two dynamic leaders to key positions.

Ambassador Collins Idahosa, Governor of the NYCN Europe chapter, proudly announced the appointments of Ambassadors Chikwado Joel Nwafor as Diaspora Financial Secretary and Okeowo Samson Oluwatosin as IT Director.

According to Idahosa, these strategic appointments are set to drive the council’s growth and youth empowerment initiatives, marking a new chapter of impact for Nigerian youth across Europe.

Chikwado Joel Nwafor, an accomplished entrepreneur and CEO of Nwafor Kis-shoes, brings a robust background in finance, business development, and innovative strategy. As the current Financial Secretary of NYCN Switzerland, Nwafor has demonstrated an impressive ability to manage resources effectively, a skill he now brings to the entire European chapter.

Okeowo Samson Oluwatosin, a Swiss-trained IT specialist, has a rich portfolio of technological expertise. His role as IT Director is expected to revolutionize NYCN Europe’s digital engagement, streamlining communication and increasing accessibility to resources for the Nigerian youth.

“These appointments represent a bold step forward for the council,” Idahosa said. “Both Nwafor and Oluwatosin possess the expertise to significantly enhance our financial and technological infrastructure, empowering Nigerian youth on a global scale.”

Nwafor expressed his commitment to advancing the council’s initiatives, saying, “I look forward to using my financial experience to implement sustainable projects that will empower young Nigerians.”

Oluwatosin, equally enthusiastic, remarked, “I’m deeply honored by this appointment. My focus will be on leveraging technology to create a digital platform for youth engagement, collaboration, and innovation, amplifying the voices of Nigerian youth worldwide.”

With these appointments, NYCN Europe is poised to build a stronger, more connected network of Nigerian youth thriving both at home and abroad.
