The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has received Cisco’s Premier+ Award, recognizing its exceptional regional impact in digital skills development through the Cisco Networking Academy (Netacad) platform.
The award was accepted by Dr. Ahmed Yusuf Tambuwal, Acting Director of Digital Literacy and Capacity Building, on behalf of NITDA’s CEO, Kashifu Inuwa, during the 2024 Networking Academy Partner Conference held in Dubai.

In a VIP session with Chris Reeves, Cisco’s Vice President of the Digital Impact Office for EMEA, Dr. Tambuwal explored future goals for Cisco and NITDA’s partnership.
This collaboration aims to enhance digital literacy in Nigeria through an interactive, self-paced online course designed to equip Nigeria’s workforce with essential digital skills, culminating in a national certification.
NITDA’s efforts underscore Nigeria’s commitment to advancing digital capacity and preparing its workforce for a technology-driven economy.
