The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), through its subsidiary, the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), has successfully concluded the 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge.
This annual competition brought together young, talented Nigerians to develop innovative solutions targeting critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and transportation.
The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes fostering a vibrant digital economy while empowering Nigerian youth to address pressing societal challenges.

By creating a platform to harness innovative ideas, the challenge underscores NITDA’s commitment to advancing the nation’s technological ecosystem.
Celebrating Innovation and Excellence
Team “Inframappers” emerged as the winner of the challenge with their cutting-edge solution, earning a cash prize of ₦5 million. Their innovation promises to make significant contributions to the development of Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and socio-economic growth.

Speaking at the grand finale, NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa, represented by Mr. Oladejo Olawumi, Director of the Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions Department, reiterated the agency’s dedication to driving technological innovation. He emphasized that such initiatives enable young Nigerians to become key drivers of economic transformation and national development.
