The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced a strategic collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Village (eVillage) aimed at fostering technological innovations and inclusivity within Nigeria.
This partnership is a significant step towards implementing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes accelerating diversification through industrialization and digitization.
During a recent meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, DG NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, revealed plans to collaborate with eVillage to enhance digital infrastructure for the eVillage Innovation and Transformation Centre.
This initiative not only underscores NITDA’s commitment to its newly crafted Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2024-2027) but also aligns with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy’s strategic blueprint for accelerating national prosperity through technical efficiency.
In expressing his enthusiasm for the collaboration, Inuwa highlighted the potential of creating a technology development zone that fosters innovation and problem-solving within the country. He emphasized the importance of building an ecosystem that ignites conversations around technology and its real-life applications.
The proposed partnership aims to accelerate the establishment of technology development zones across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Inuwa confirmed that all arrangements between NITDA and eVillage would be formalized through a memorandum of understanding, emphasizing the transformative impact such initiatives could have on the nation.
Sunil Santanam, CEO of eVillage, expressed gratitude for the partnership, acknowledging its potential to drive development, especially among Nigeria’s youthful population and burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem. He emphasized eVillage’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and facilities, positioning Nigeria as a leader in innovation on the African continent.
Joy Francis, Director of Initiatives and Partnerships at eVillage, provided insights into the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Festival scheduled for November. She emphasized the festival’s role in attracting global communities and fostering an enduring entrepreneurial platform for present and future generations.
