The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) is set to host the Africa Sovereign Investors Forum (ASIF) 2025 in Abuja this June, bringing together over 15 African sovereign wealth funds alongside global investors and development leaders.
According to NSIA’s Head of Corporate Communications, Joyce Onyegbula, the event is themed “Leveraging African Sovereign Wealth Funds to Mobilise Global Capital for Transformative Development in Africa.” It will spotlight sovereign wealth funds as essential tools to attract large-scale investments for infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and technology across the continent.
NSIA’s Managing Director, Aminu Umar-Sadiq, emphasized the importance of collaboration among African funds to drive sustainable and inclusive growth, noting that Africa must act boldly to access global capital.

Key speakers include Nigeria’s Finance Minister Wale Edun, Trade Minister Jumoke Oduwole, Afreximbank President Benedict Oramah, Africa Finance Corporation CEO Samaila Zubairu, and Liu Haoling of the China Investment Corporation. Obaid Amrane, Chair of ASIF and CEO of Morocco’s Ithmar Capital, highlighted that the forum is a powerful step in reshaping Africa’s investment narrative.
The two-day summit will feature discussions, panels, and networking opportunities designed to build strong investment alliances and reinforce Africa’s position in the global economy. NSIA reiterated its dedication to fostering investment-led development both for Nigeria and across Africa.
