Nigeria is expanding its global economic ties as senior officials held high-level talks in Bangkok aimed at unlocking new opportunities for small and medium enterprises. During a shuttle diplomacy visit, Nigeria’s representative met with Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, to strengthen cooperation in trade, agriculture, ICT, energy, defence, education and emerging BRICS engagements.
Both countries discussed the establishment of a Joint Commission that will formalise partnerships and open structured channels for business exchange, investment flows and enterprise development. The dialogue is expected to support Nigerian SMEs through improved market access, knowledge transfer and sector-focused collaboration.
