Nigeria has taken a major step toward digital inclusivity through the Women ICT Training Empowerment Programme, an initiative organized by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative.
This programme has provided women from all 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with critical ICT skills, enabling them to actively participate in the digital economy.

The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and empower women to contribute to Nigeria’s growing tech landscape. The closing ceremony, attended by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering digital literacy and inclusivity nationwide.
The First Lady’s presence underscored the administration’s dedication to supporting women’s advancement in the digital space, aligning closely with the President’s vision of building a digitally empowered Nigeria.
By equipping women with essential ICT skills, this programme marks a crucial step toward creating a more inclusive digital economy and a future where all Nigerians can benefit from the opportunities technology offers.
