The Niger State Government hosted a digital literacy training session for over 2,000 market vendors and youth on Tuesday at the Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre.
Alhaji Sulaiman Isah, Commissioner for Communication Technology and Digital Economy, emphasized the importance of embracing modern business practices to reduce the need for extensive travel and enhance trade efficiency. He urged participants to leverage digital tools to expand their businesses and protect against theft.

Alhaji Ahmed Gwada from the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises announced that participant details will be included in the NG: Cares database for future grant opportunities.
He revealed that the government has already distributed N50,000 each to 10,000 beneficiaries, with plans to extend the grant to 20,000 more participants. Gwada advised against paying anyone for access to the grant portal, advising to seek help from family if needed.
Permanent Secretary Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Musa called for continued support for Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s administration.
The event, aimed at enhancing business capabilities in Chanchaga Local Government Area, was coordinated by graphic designer and digital marketer Mr. Safyanu Musa and attended by other key officials.
