NEPC, Zeenab empower youths in commodities’ export

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council in collaboration with Zeenab Foods Limited, on Friday, introduced the launch of the Nigerian Exporters Hub platform and the Youth for Export Programme.

Partners in the deal noted that the YEP served as a catalyst for empowering Nigerian youths to become export champions via equipping them with the quintessential information and capabilities wished to thrive in the competitive international market.

A announcement issued in Abuja by using Zeenab Foods, stated that the inauguration of the exporters hub platform took place at the NEPC Export House in the Federal Capital Territory.

โ€œThrough the NEXHUB platform, the trade gaps between Nigeria, China, and other far east countries will be bridged,โ€ the statement read in part.

The Executive Director, NEPC, Ezra Yakusak, outlined some challenges faced by exporters to include lack of technical support, limited access to finance, among others, adding that the export hub platform would help mitigate these issues.

He said the YEP programme would provide comprehensive training on export processes and market research.

He stated that Zeenab Foods Limited, through NEXHUB, was set to offer valuable mentorship and market access to empower youths to venture into the export business.

The Managing Director, Zeenab Foods Limited, Victor Ayemere, stimulated all stakeholders to include export possibilities through NEXHUB, assuring them that the NEPC would provide training, whilst NEXIM Bank would facilitate loans via their Women and Youth Export Facility.

He stated the facility would empower beneficiaries to grow to be successful export champions, as he prompted stakeholders to embody export to make contributions substantially to the monetary increase and development of the country.

The statement referred to that at the event, greenback cheques were presented to corporations of corps individuals who had participated in the NEXHUB handholding export exercises conducted across more than a few states.

Senior officials of the National Youth Service Corps, representatives from the Nigerian Export-Import Bank, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and National Directorate of Employment, amongst others, attended the event.
