Following a devastating blaze at Yola South Market, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has stepped in to support affected traders with crucial relief materials. The update, shared on NEMA’s X account on August 14, 2024, highlights the agency’s response to the disaster.
Under the direction of NEMA’s Director General, Mrs. Zubairu Umar, the relief effort provided both food and building supplies to help the victims rebuild their lives.

The aid distribution was officially launched by Bar. Hamman Bello Daram, Honourable Commissioner for Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction (RRR), representing the Adamawa State Government.
In his address, Daram expressed gratitude to NEMA for their prompt assistance and urged the recipients to utilize the aid effectively to aid their recovery.
