The North East Development Commission (NEDC), in collaboration with LOBITO for Asiwaju, has distributed 256 farm implements and inputs across Bauchi State’s three senatorial zones.
This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s agricultural policy, aiming to bolster agricultural productivity and ensure food security.
During the distribution event, Mr. Sulaiman Aliyu from the NEDC emphasized that the tools would enhance agricultural output and foster wealth creation among farmers.
The distributed equipment includes tractors, rice millers, multi-purpose threshers, hammer mills, power tillers, and de-stoners, among others.
Alhaji Usman Yau-Darazo, the State Coordinator of LOBITO for Asiwaju Farmers, highlighted the initiative’s goal of empowering farmers across all 20 local government areas, with 10 beneficiaries from each.
He noted that the program underscores a commitment to decentralized agricultural support and increased self-reliance among local cooperatives.
