The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has launched the Rural Employment and Empowerment Initiative (RHEI), targeting 93,731 unskilled and unemployed Nigerians.

Among these, 3,000 slots have been specifically reserved for persons with special needs, with each state and the FCT allocated 81 slots.
