Nigerian footwear manufacturer Yikodeen is set to unveil its newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility on June 24, marking a major leap in local manufacturing capacity and technology.
Following strategic investment from Aruwa Capital Management and a strong showing at NOGOF 2025, the revamped Lagos factory will boost daily output from 500 to 2,500 pairs, positioning Yikodeen as West Africa’s largest safety footwear producer.
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) backs the project, with Executive Secretary Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe attending as Special Guest of Honour.

Yikodeen’s upgraded lines span safety, school, military, and athletic footwear—including its popular Yiko Plus brand. The facility now includes full sole production, an ISO-compliant lab, and an in-house training center, all powered by sustainable energy.
CEO Yinka Shamsideen called the expansion “proof of what’s possible when we bet on local excellence.”
The move will create 200+ new jobs, with a focus on women and youth empowerment, setting a bold example for Nigerian small businesses.
