The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has commenced a three-day skills acquisition program in modern shoemaking and tailoring for the youth of Ife-Ife, Osun State.
This initiative, which started on July 8 and will conclude on July 10, is taking place at the NASENI Skill Acquisition Centre in Osun State.
Mr. Chima Akwaja, NASENI’s Deputy Director of Information, announced the program in a press statement from Abuja. Representing NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman, Mr. Khalil Halilu, Mr. Olayode Adesola, Director of Manufacturing Services, officially opened the training.

According to Halilu, the program aims to provide participants with essential skills in contemporary tailoring and shoemaking techniques. He emphasized that NASENI’s mission is to foster a robust science and engineering infrastructure to drive Nigeria’s industrialization from within.
“To fulfill this mission, developing critical skills among personnel is essential,” Halilu stated. “This training is part of the Federal Government’s renewed hope agenda.”
