The Nasarawa State Government has entered into a strategic partnership with Aerthmetal and Boxmoor to establish the Uke Gold Company.
This tripartite agreement aims to explore, develop, and produce gold mineral resources in the Uke community, promising substantial economic benefits and sustainable development for the region.
The official signing ceremony took place in Lafia, drawing the attendance of key government officials, business leaders, and representatives from the Uke community.
The event was marked by the presence of executives from Aerthmetal and Boxmoor, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
Mariam Yahaya-Shiru, the Chief Executive Officer of Aerthmetal, highlighted the partnership’s significance, stating, “This collaboration is a testament to the strength and potential of joint efforts.

She further emphasized the broader vision of the project, “The establishment of Uke Gold Company is not just about mining; it is about positioning Nigeria as a formidable leader in the global mining industry.

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Managing Director of Nasarawa Investment, also expressed optimism about the initiative. “The project aligns with the state’s strategy to actively participate in the mining sector, generate revenue, and create jobs.
It prioritizes environmental sustainability and community involvement, ensuring inclusive and responsible growth.”
The Uke Gold Company is expected to bring numerous benefits to the region, including job creation, infrastructure development, and enhanced local business opportunities.
