In a major boost for food security, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has launched the distribution of free fertilizers provided by the federal government. The initiative, which includes NPK and Urea fertilizers, began in Awe and will cover all 13 LGAs in the state.
Governor Sule highlighted that the fertilizers are provided at no cost to farmers by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with the state government only covering transportation and related costs. Each of Nasarawa’s 147 wards will receive at least 16,000 bags of fertilizer.
