In an effort to bolster Nigeria’s food security, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) has provided crucial agricultural support to 900 farmers across Ebonyi and Osun states.
The initiative aims to enhance crop yields and overall food production by equipping farmers with high-quality fertilizer, herbicides, and improved seed varieties tailored to each state’s agricultural needs.
In Ebonyi state, accredited beneficiaries have received rice and maize seeds, while those in Osun state have been provided with rice and beans seeds for cultivation.

A total of 400 farmers in Ebonyi have received 200 bags each of maize and rice seeds, distributed across 10 communities within the Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency, with the distribution event held at Ishiagu Community.
In Osun state, 500 farmers from various local governments, based in Osogbo, the state capital, have received maize and beans seeds.
The empowerment process also involved meticulous documentation of the farmers and their land sizes to ensure precise distribution for optimal results in agricultural productivity.
